8/22/22

We've been in Portland Orchard for the last three nights and now are on our way to Olympia.

Today is our 17th day of the trip and there's only a short time left. Last night I was charging my third set of lights and had the realization that this might be the last time I need to charge them for the trip.

The days go by so fast and yet so slow. Every day feels like four days. We've only been on the trip since the 6th but that feels like months ago.

I am driving the van today and most of the riders have a cue sheet with more cues than miles. 56 To be exact.

adj. astonished to think back on the bizarre sequence of accidents that brought you to where

you are today—as if you’d spent years bouncing down a Plinko pegboard, passing through a million harmless decision points, any one of which might’ve changed everything—which makes your long and winding path feel fated from the start, yet so unlikely as to be virtually impossible.

Everyone was so fast that by the time we made it back to the lunch spot all the riders were done.

Getting back to the host and it's time to get laundry out. I'm also part of the breakfast/laundry crew so back out I go.

There was arcade and pinball machines at the laundromat but not a single quarter to be seen
